ABOUT SMARTHREADS

LESLIE SINGER

ART DIRECTOR/CONTENT CURATOR

BASED IN NYC

Smarthreads wants to reframe our relationship with clothes and stop the madness of abhorrent pollution, child labor, and the destruction of entire ecosystems.

Smarthreads content is curated mirroring the two worlds we live in–wonder and hard truths. We offer people many ways to understand the issues while offering choices to inspire systemic change that can be attainable in daily life.

If there are stories Smarthreads should know about, please get in touch. We are a community celebrating fashion and sustainability by sharing ideas and solutions for ourselves and the future of the planet.

BACKGROUND

Leslie had a successful award-winning advertising and design career working with American Express, Avon, and AT+T to name a few. After working for WPPs Ogilvy & Mather and other notable agencies, she started her own New York City-based communication design firm that worked with Comedy Central, Showtime Networks, Sony Worldwide, General Motors, Hallmark, and countless publishers of every kind. Eleven years after its founding, she sold SingerDesign to IPGs McCann Worldgroup to launch their custom publishing division.
There are few Fortune 100 companies Leslie has not worked with, and few corporate titles she has not had. Particulars on Linkedin.
She held both the secretary and treasurer positions for the Art Directors Club in NYC and sat on the board of the Global Fashion Management Program for the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). Leslie has been a featured speaker and panelist for events in the branding and design space and recently was a guest speaker at AIGA's (American Institute of Graphic Arts) conference for design educators.
